March 2025
I’d only been gone for three months, but it felt like six. Easton was just a little bigger and his sentences were even more complete. My cat was so happy I was home that she tolerated sitting with me amid the chaos of a three-year-old, babies and dogs.

I was delighted to be in town for the annual Lion’s Club tea. I tried explaining to my new British friends why I needed to fly home for a high tea – when I was already in England.

We got dressed up and picked our teacups to match our outfits.

Each year they honor a woman from the community, and this year it was Jeannie, who had passed away earlier in the year. She had organized the tea since it began over 20 years ago.

I was able to catch up with all the relatives at Easton’s third birthday party.

The pears trees were in bloom so the newly sprouted families arranged for a professional photo shoot. I made it into the group photo!

I slept, ate all of my favorite foods I can’t get on the ship, repacked my bags and soaked up as much time as I could with my family and my kitty before catching a ride back to the airport.
I was heading back to England.
